Scott Merritt

Scott Merritt, MBA, CFA has always had a passion for business. In his mid-20s he advised business owners as a small business lender, while moonlighting as an adviser to franchise owners. During his corporate career in the financial services industry, he led several sales teams to explosive revenue growth. He was CEO/CFO of a scuba resort enterprise in the 1990s, and has coached small business owners to greater success for 20 years. He is Managing Partner of Nevada Distressed Properties and President of North Austin Business Coaching LLC.

Scott has always enjoyed coaching and getting the most out of others. He taught tennis in his teens and was head tennis professional at Rhode Island Country Club for two years while at Brown University. His sales teams exceeded in part because he held them accountable to successful processes, just as he does with business owners. Scott lives in Cedar Park, Texas with his wife of 22 years, Harriet. The Merritt family includes daughter Allana, one dog and four horses.
